This was a community partnership class project where I designed the brand identity for John and Maggie Mitchell Art Gallery's new event called Art Buffet at MacEwan University. The Art Buffet is a weekly Event at the Mitchell Art Gallery that is rooted in the concept of art as therapy, and is designed to be open to all people regardless of skill. It focuses on mental health and how open creativity and collaboration can benefit the well-being of both individuals and the community.
Brief: Designing a the branding and collateral for Maggie Mitchell Art Gallery's new event. The client wanted a unique, playful logo while maintaining the original identity of the John and Maggie Mitchell Art Gallery's logo.
The logo is inspired by brush strokes, with a dynamic playful look resembling their mission to combine creativity and mental health. It is also maintaining coherency with MAG's logo by the color palette and use of three lines.
